Legal with restrictions
Illinois adults 21 or older may buy cannabis from licensed dispensaries. Since June 12, 2026, a resident may possess up to 60 grams of flower, 10 grams of concentrate, and 1,000 milligrams of THC in infused products; a nonresident may possess half those amounts. Home cultivation remains limited to registered medical patients, with no more than five plants.
